China Hole

Description: * Destination : China Hole @ Henry Coe State Park
* Stats : 11 miles, 2400' gain, 2.2 mph.
* Meeting Time : Sun, June 3, 2018 @ 7am, at a place TBD near Milpitas
* Estimated finish : 2:25p, back at the trailhead
* Organizer: DN (walks.nani at gmail dot com)
* RSVP : Yes, by Friday 6 PM. Info about the meeting place will be mailed after the rsvp-s close. Join the waitlist and let me know your email and contact number unless you are sure that I know you; and tell me in brief about your hiking ability as in max distance hiked and in what time, max elevation, etc. Expect 2 (just you and me) to 5 people on the hike. I may restrict the hike to hikers who have hiked with me before. Ignore meetup's timestamps and read the writeup for timeline.

Route : Park HQ - Monument Tr to Monument - rt Hobbs - Springs Tr - China Hole Tr - Cougar Tr - Creekside Tr to China Hole - Mile Tr - Madrone Soda Spr - Forest - Corral Trail. Expect to be fairly miserable after 11am as the park gets hotter. The trail won't end where you want it to end; it will end where it does end. Bad COE, I know. If this plan runs into obstructions, the backup would be to go to Hunting Hollow and do Lyman-Willson to Willson Peak to Middle Steer Ridge loop.
